Pinterest Addiction

I have an addiction that I haven’t shared with you readers (and it’s not beer if you have been reading my most recent posts) and while I am late to the game with posting anything about it, I LOVE Pinterest.

What is pinterest, you ask? According to their website, “Pinterest lets you organize and share all the beautiful things you find on the web. People use pinboards to plan their weddings, decorate their homes, and organize their favorite recipes.

Best of all, you can browse pinboards created by other people. Browsing pinboards is a fun way to discover new things and get inspiration from people who share your interests.”

Pinterest

Follow me if you would like and I’ll probably follow back. 🙂

I’m using it to remember things like hairstyles I like, places I love to travel to, fashion ideas, home ideas, etc. Check out some of the selections from my boards below.

Loving the Essie Fall 2011 collection, but when don’t I love Essie’s selections?

I like to pin fashion ideas and I have started to notice styles I am particularly drawn to. This has also helped me when shopping. Lately, I am noticing the draw to brown satchel like bags, but I can’t seem to find one in the stores that really is “me.”

I pin books I love like Food Rules.

Pinning food seems to be one of the more useful aspects for keeping track of recipes you want to try and planning meals (Paige from Running Around Normal recently blogged about using Pinterest for this purpose).

These Pumpkin Cheesecake Pots look so delicious. I must make these soon!

Seeing a picture of these candy raisins (they used to be made in the Milwaukee area and aren’t made anymore) brought back memories of my maternal Grandma giving me these when I was a little girl.

And this Pumpkin Cream Cheese also sounds super yummy!

I like to save fitness ideas like yoga poses.

Or reminders on how to do certain moves at the gym (until I get two books in the mail this week that will help with that).

I dream about decorating, like painting our bedroom this pretty blue color.

I reminisce about traveling to beautiful, far away places, I use the site to look up my favorite cities or countries and pin pictures of them.

I love animals and have an “animals” board. It contains this nerd cat picture that makes me smile every time I see him.

I finally learned how to pin something from my blog too! It’s pretty big, but at least I tried and I’ll get the hang of it all eventually.

Are you on Pinterest? Do you have any tips to share with me and/or my readers?

I love pinterest! Although I try not to go on too often, otherwise I’ll end up spending hours on it!

  2. 1. I too am addicted to Pinterst. It’s bad. Really bad. Or is it good?
    2. Love the new Essie colors! Yay fall!
    3. Prague ❤

  3. Ok, I have sent like 3 requests to get into Pinterest, but I STILL haven’t gotten my “invite”!! I have been trying for over a month to get into it…it’s probably a blessing in disguise that I’m not on there yet as I’ll probably waste far too much time once I do get in, but I’m really starting to think that Pinterest has something personal against me!!

  4. It is ridiculously addictive, but amazing. It has some great quotes about life, fitness motivation and the recipes…oh the recipes…and pictures of clothing and shoes that I cannot afford. It is the best time waster, ever!

  5. I pinned those pumpkin desserts too! They look awesome.

  6. Pinterest is dangerous!! I love it:)
    I love Essie’s fall collection!
I use Pinterest for my meal planning.

  7. Pinterest is fun, but don’t log in if you don’t have extra time on your hands 🙂
@Laurie above who has been trying to get an invite… contact me and I’ll get ya one 😉
